Trunk Mats & Cargo Liners

Choosing Trunk Mats and Cargo Liners

Cargo liners cover the load floor rather than the footwell. They are cut to the boot shape with raised edges that contain wet kit, soil, tools or spilled shopping before it soils the trim, and they are sold either as a standalone item or alongside a floor liner programme. Buyers who stock vehicle-specific floor liners usually take the matching cargo liner at the same time, because it is an easy add-on sale to the same customer.

• Confirm the body style. A sedan boot floor and an SUV load floor of the same model need different patterns.
• Check whether the load floor is flat or has an under-floor well, and whether you want it covered.
• Agree the raised lip height and whether the liner extends under the rear seat backs.
• Ask for the sheet thickness in millimetres, since thin cargo mats can curl when folded.
• Confirm whether the liner is supplied as one piece or as part of a set.

Examples include the Hyundai Elantra sedan cargo liner at 3.5 mm, the made-to-order Buick cargo liner, and the Cybertruck rear cargo liner for a 2024-2026 fitment listed on the Cybertruck vehicle page.

How it differs from the neighbours: footwell coverage belongs to floor liners and all-weather mats, and a cargo mat is not a substitute for either. Two-layer construction, where the top surface lifts out for cleaning, is listed separately under double-layer mats.
